If you sell on Shopify, Amazon, and Etsy, you’ve got three dashboards telling three partial stories. What you actually want is one note every Monday: what’s selling faster, what’s slowing down, and what you need to reorder.
Here’s how to get that, starting at $0.
The Free Version: Export, Paste, Ask
Once a week, download last week’s orders from each platform. Shopify exports orders as a spreadsheet file from the Orders page. Etsy has a Download Data tab in Shop Manager. Amazon Seller Central has Order Reports you can request and download.
Put them in one Google Sheet, one tab per channel, and total units by product. Then paste the totals into the free version of ChatGPT or Claude and ask: “Compare these three weeks of sales by product. Which items are up or down more than 20%? Which should I reorder at this pace?”
That’s artificial intelligence (AI) doing what it’s good at: reading a pile of numbers and writing a plain-English summary. Plan on about 20 minutes a week. Double-check anything it flags against your raw numbers before you reorder, because it can misread a column.
The Automated Version: Zapier
If 20 minutes a week is too much, Zapier can collect new orders into one sheet for you. A few honest details first:
- Shopify and Amazon Seller Central are “premium” apps on Zapier, so you need a paid plan. Professional starts at $19.99 a month billed yearly for 750 tasks.
- Etsy doesn’t have an official Zapier integration. You can rig something up with Zapier’s general tools, but plan on extra setup, or just keep exporting Etsy by hand.
- Zapier’s built-in AI steps are included on Professional, so it can write the weekly summary and email it to you.
Every order that gets copied uses a task, so a shop with hundreds of orders a month may need a bigger task tier. Check your volume against Zapier’s pricing page before you build.
The Inventory-App Version
If what you really need is stock levels that stay in sync across channels, that’s an inventory app’s job. Zoho Inventory has a free plan for up to 50 orders a month, and its Standard plan is $29 a month billed yearly for 500 orders. Confirm it connects to every channel you sell on before you switch.
You’ll also see Cin7 Core recommended for this. Its entry plan is $349 a month, which is built for much bigger operations and is above what most small shops should spend here. Same goes for Akkio, which is now an enterprise platform for media agencies with custom pricing only.
When This Isn’t Worth It
If one channel brings in nearly all your sales, skip the cross-channel setup. Check that channel’s own reports every Monday and move on.
And if you sell a handful of products, you already know what’s moving. A summary won’t tell you anything new.
Your Next Step
This Monday, export last week’s orders from each channel, paste the totals into one sheet, and ask a free chatbot for the three biggest changes. If you find yourself doing it every week, that’s when Zapier’s $19.99 plan starts earning its keep.
